Hospice Alliance volunteer Judy Olson created this newest quilt from squares decorated by family members in memory of their loved ones. This will join 4 others displayed in the Hospice House and the “quilt project” will be ongoing. Family members can obtain squares to decorate and when enough are gathered, another quilt will be designed.

Guests gathered to view four Memorial Quilts, enjoy refreshments and music by a quartet from the Golden Strings.

Bob Ellis and Henry Kuzik, Hospice Alliance volunteers, “manned” the guest book.

Graciela Burroughs, Jakob Michaelis, Julie Gosselin and Laura Gildenstern from Tremper High School’s Golden Strings provided entertainment.

Volunteers Irene Servantez and Joanne Hamilton relax after creating centerpieces for the the Garden Party.

Volunteer Joan Beland enjoys refreshments after greeting 60-70 attendees at the Garden Party.

Emily Lumley is congratulated by Executive Director Connie Matter. Emily was recently named the UW-Parkside Outstanding Volunteer! While she is very active on campus, Emily is equally committed to community service as a Hospice Alliance volunteer. She has a Sunday Hospice House shift and often fills in on other shifts. We are very proud of Emily!
