BEREAVEMENT SERVICES

Hospice Alliance bereavement services are available for 13 months following the death of a loved one. Counselors communicate regularly with family members, facilitate support groups and coordinate the social group gatherings. The bereavement department also holds semi-annual memorial services and plans the annual grief teleconference.

There is also a Social Support group that meets monthly for
lunch and informal conversation. Contact our bereavement
department for times and locations. 2012 Social Support
Gatherings will be held on the following dates:

February 19
March 18
April 15
May 20
June 24
July 15
August 19
September 16
October 21
November 18
December 16

The next Service of Remembrance will be held at Hospice Alliance on
Thursday, April 12. 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Each program is for those
grieving the loss of a loved one, and features music, readings
and reflections. There is also a scroll listing all Hospice Alliance
patients for those in attendance to view.

Hospice Alliance bereavement services are available to all in
the community, not just those who have lost a loved one while
