BEREAVEMENT SERVICES
Hospice Alliance bereavement services are available for 13 months following the death of a loved one. Counselors communicate regularly with family members, facilitate support groups and coordinate the social group gatherings. The bereavement department also holds semi-annual memorial services and plans the annual grief teleconference.
A Grief Recovery Support Group will meet for six weeks at the Hospice Alliance offices. The 2010 meeting dates are:
- Our next grief support workshop 6 week session is slated for TUESDAYS, 6:00PM. to 7:30PM, from September 21 to October 26, 2010.
There is also a Social Support group that meets monthly for lunch and informal conversation. Contact our bereavement department for times and locations. 2010 Social Support Gatherings will be held on the following dates:
- August 15
- September 19
- October 17
- November 21
- December 19
2010 Memorial Services will be held at Hospice Alliance on Thursday, October 7th at 6:00 p.m. Each program is for those grieving the loss of a loved one, and features music, readings and reflections. There is also a scroll listing all Hospice Alliance patients for those in attendance to view.
